You are probably wondering what are all the taxes doing on my telecom bills.  Property taxes, 911 Taxes, Federal Excise Taxes, Carrier Access Recovery Fees, are just some of the charges which show up every month and it seems a new one is popping up every quarter.  I cannot keep up anymore…  Telcom taxes are still a gray area and neither a Carrier or the Government has been able to explain it to me.   Why should I pay property taxes on a data line?  I do not own the line, I am leasing it.  It is not my fault, nor should I be penalized, when the Carrier does not run their business properly and over borrow on projects.
Intelletrace has done the research to appropriately tax our customers and keep the costs to a minimum.  We  know businesses already pay enough to the Government.
Intelletrace has also partnered with the Tax Projects Group to help review their taxes, to make sure customers are being charged appropriately by other Carriers.  One example, is the telecom excise tax. This tax was originally instituted in 1989 to fund the Spanish American War.  I think the tax payers paid the war tenfold by now.  Here is the link to the “Telecom Excise Tax Refund” opportunity if interested: www.taxprojectsgroup.com/telecomAudit.htm#TETR.
