Making the Experience Suck Less!
Sep 3rd
Let’s face it. Telecommunications is complicated and it is getting more complicated. There are many different types of services and ways to get Internet or have offices talk to other offices. Ethernet, DSL, Cable, Sonet, Copper, Wave, etc…. There are many different ways to receive your services and many different ways to order. The forms are all different for each service and the sometimes the equipment to make the services work are different too. The install process can be confusing, long, and painful. Often times, customer are caught in the dark of what is really going on or even reaching somebody who does know what they are doing. Let’s face it, the experience sucks? It is almost as bas as buying a new car. I am not saying Intelletrace does not experience the same problems with our vendors and we often do our best to hide the issues. We do have issues, and probably more of it, since we are ordering 10 to 20 new lines every month. Bottom line, we are working hard to make the experience suck less and meet the project deadlines of our customers. Competitive pricing, same network, experience people who answer the phone, and the process sucks less. Sounds like a good deal to me. Does somebody know a car dealer who can offer this too?
Happy Labor Day.
“I have learned to accept minimal service”
Apr 13th
This was a quote said today by a customer. It is not the first time I have heard somebody say this. Why have people been taught to learn to accept this type of service in today’s competitive business world? It is very simple. Carriers have routinely provided poor service, with constant turnover in employees, billing issues, and poor response time (if any). Customers have given up and always go back or stay with AT&T. Why not.? If every Carrier provides a poor service, might as well stay with the biggest. People are tired of changing and have given up on finding a quality vendor for their data and Internet services. Might as well learn and adjust to your vendor. Would you do that if you were shopping for a car?
Well I do not need to tell you. In the 21st century, when competitiveness is higher than ever, nobody should ever, ever accept this. There are better vendors at equal or better prices. However, you may have to get out of your comfort zone and change to a smaller company who does not have a well know name or has a business model which you may have never heard of before. Do not give up. There are better companies. You deserve it. Nobody should ever accept poor service and should demand credits for such. Step into a new Paradigm.
A Boutique Carrier
Oct 15th
Being a boutique Carrier, Intelletrace goes the extra mile to find a solution for our customers.
A perfect example was a non-profit TV station, who needed to send large files to and media company on the East Coast. We first suggested the non-profit TV station, stay with the same network provider as the company on the East Coast. Being a nuetral Carrier, we can provide a non-biased opinion. We did the research and found out the company on the East Coast was using XO and American Fiber Systems for their ISP.

We went evern further and found out American Fiber Systems is using Global Crosing and Level 3 for their IP backbone. With 3 different Carriers to choose from, we recommeded Level 3. We were able to provide a cost efficient solution and provide a Cisco router, less than what she got directly from the Carrier, for an internet DS3. Being a non-profit, she was thrilled. We saved her money, provided a single solution, and saved her time, because she didn’t have to shop for a router.
Intelletrace just did not provide her a cost efficeint solution. We did the research to make sure the service she was getting is going to be the best option for her. Something the large Carriers would never do.

A Myth Intelletrace Proves Wrong
Jun 14th
One of the biggest myths in the telecom industry, are non-facility based resellers “add another line of communication” and “slow down the process of installing and repairing services”. Intelletrace continually proves these statements to be a myth. Over the last few years, business has grown rapidly with other Carriers, who see the value in Intelletrace. Even other Carrier customers have said, “Intelletrace installs services 2 to 3 days quicker than going direct to the Carrier” and “Intelletrace was not only able to repair our circuit quickly, but they were able to look into our router to make sure it was not a hardware related issue.”

Intelletrace was founded by engineers who saw value in resellers. A reseller who can solve problems quickly, so their customers can concentrate what they do best. This philosophy provided the groundwork for a customer friendly company. Intelletrace remains focused on selling, installing, and supporting data and Internet circuits. The company focus enables Intelletrace to do their job very well and establish relationships with their Carriers. The Carrier relationships provide Intelletrace a competitive edge in pricing and in service. Read the rest of this entry »
