Why Intelletrace?

A question often asked from prospects and companies who are just beginning to jump up from DSL into dedciated bandwdith. It is a justified question.  Who is Intelletrace?  How can they sell it to me cheaper, provide the same Service Level Agreement, and provide a better service than a big Carrier.

There are serveral reasons to this.  One reason, Intelletrace has four functions to their business.
1. sell circuits
2. install circuits
3. bill circuits
4. support circuits

Intelletrace has no other functions getting in the way.  Intelletrace does not have a manufactuering plant, a large online business or network to maintain.   This is all we do.  We are ordering circuits everyday and working to have them quickly installed.  This concentration has enabled Intelletrace to grow quickly over the past six years to become one of the leading non-facility based Carriers in the industry.  We take the guess work out of the way and make it easy for the customer to do business with.  Intelletrace has over 1000 circuits installed, which customers are able to take advantage of when it comes to discounts for services.

Now you know why…

Unbelieveable!

I went to see a very energentic speaker yesterday.  The topic was super charging yourself.  There is no reason why we cannot get what we want in life if we put our minds to it and think it everyday.  A mind is a very powerful tool. A tool we often under estimate. When we hear others complain and crticize, we tend to beleive them and more often than not, participate in it. Just because the economy is in a tailspin, it does not mean we all have to participate. The stock market certainly is not, being up almost 50% since March. Intelletrace is not either. We continue to add people and grow. We are bringing on customers, who are having an unbelieveable year, from online businesses to traditional businesses, such as architects and trucking companies.

Surprised Girl Face

The next time you are in Pain or are stressed due to work, think of the positives and how fortunate you are. Things could be a lot worse.   I think I am going to find a picture of that private jet I someday would like to have.  What the heck, it is worth a shot. :)

Don’t Compete with Rivals-Make them Irrelevant

I just finished a book called Blue Ocean Strategy. It is a simple book on making your competition irrelevant by creating uncontested market space. In this new economy with new rules to play by, it is more important than ever, for companies to be continually changing. Companies are often battling over market share and struggling for differentiation, which results in nothing more than shrinking profits. As prices for telecom services continually fall, it is important for Intelletrace to look at new markets and services to increase our market space.

rivalry

The Blue Ocean Strategy helps companies to not only start thinking about new markets, but also new competitors and new buyers. The Blue Ocean Strategy provides a systematic approach, to keep your company from falling back. I am sure 10 years ago, Sony, the DVD or CD industry, the video industry, and the cell phone industry never thought Apple would their major competitor. Apple is a perfect example from moving their computing from a computer manufacturer to the leading device for downloading and listening to music. I highly recommend this book to anybody who would like to start creating a new strategy their company in this new economy.

Even Rock Concerts Need Internet

Intelletrace is going on its 2nd year of working with Another Planet at the 2nd annual Outside Lands Concert at Golden Gate Park. Even rock concerts need internet connectivity for their online audience to reach millions of people everywhere.

rock

Intelletrace is able to act quickly to the changing needs of putting on a concert of this magnitude. We’re able to get internet circuits delivered to an obsure place, like the Polo Grounds at Golden Gate Park in less than 10 days. Read the rest of this entry »

Website Changes…

Death, taxes, and changes are the 3 constants in life. We cannot do much about the first two, but Intelletrace can keep up with #3, changes. Intelletrace is constantly changing and working on keeping up with new tools and applications which are available. Within the last 30 days, we have launched our ON-Net building list. This is a list of the Intelletrace database of all addresses which Intelletrace has fiber to, through our underlying Carriers. If you see an address popping up multiple times, it means we have multiple choices to choose from. This usually helps us drive down pricing for our customers. If your address is on this list give us a call.

It is a great tool and there are more to come… Check it out at http://www.intelletrace.com/OnNet-Bulding-Search.html.

Summer is almost over…

Playing catch up from summer vacation… With the kids out of school driving parents crazy and the ever changing hectic schedule of camps, summer still just flew by.

Just got back from the Mountains in Sunriver, Or. It was a great place to escape. However, with the power of telecommunications, I was never that far away. I was still able to jump on the internet through the resort’s wireless network and the cell service was strong too. Still tried to catch a peek at emails each day to make sure there were no fire drills. Although a vacation is meant to get away from the daily grind of work, it is nice to know, we can also work and still be in touch with people, anywhere in the world.
Heading off to Seattle tomorrow to meet with a few customers and some site seeing on Saturday.
It is nice to know I will still be connected with my iPhone… Emails, AOL IM, twitter, and Linkedin at my fingertips.

Nothing Wrong with Outsourcing

In a down economy, more companies look to outsource for services which is not their core expertise. Companies can no longer support departments which are not a revenue stream for their company or demand a big overhead.

Even Tier 1 Carriers are outsourcing their support and provisioning departments to help compete in this environment. Sprint has announced an agreement with Ericsson Services to assume this role. Verizon Buiness has moved their call centers to Buenos Aires and the Phillipines. Customers can no longer rely on dealing with the Carriers direct anymore, when support and provisioning issues arise. Although, customers believe they are calling the carrier direct, the people on the other line are most likely an outsourced call center.

outsource

Intelletrace’s core expertise is selling, installing, and support network services. We do not have the overhead to maintain our own network. We do not have our own equipment in the field. This enables Intelletrace to remain customer focused. More and more customers are starting to realize this. Customers know when they pick up the phone to call Intelletrace, they will not be on hold for 30 minutes (like I was with AT&T wireless last week) and they will be speaking with somebody who is employed and trained by Intelletrace.

Have you turned the corner yet?

A Simplified Experience

Intelletrace understands how complicated the telecommunications industry can be. Technology is always changing and all of the experienced people are leaving due to layoffs. Just placing an order, can be very challenging. The big Carrier order forms can be several pages long, require conference calls with highly technical people (sometime several conference calls), and then the forms need to be mailed into the Carrier which delays the process even further.

simple

Intelletrace has simplified this experience. All of our order forms can now be signed electronically. In a matter of seconds, customers can execute a 1 page order, via EchoSign. It contains the pricing, type of service, and contact information. Once received, a service delivery person will introduce themselves and review the order to make sure everything is correct.

All of the Intelletrace Product and Service Agreement, Service Attachments, and Service Level Agreements are all on the web at http://www.intelletrace.com/Agreements.html.

Try it out and you will see the difference a Carrier like Intelletrace can make…

Thinking Outside the Box

Once again, Intelletrace has proven why a reseller adds value and gets the job done! We had a customer order a 50meg Internet circuit through a large Carrier in May for a turn up date for June 15th. Half way through the install process, the Carrier told our customer there was no way that they were going to meet the promised turn up date. Our customer, was desperate and afraid they would lose thousands of dollars if their install did not happen as scheduled.

thinking-outside-the-box

Intelletrace got the call from the potential customer. The customer had no idea what to do and needed to move their entire office in less than two weeks. Intelletrace was able to leverage their existing relationship with a local fiber provider who was able to do a site survey and pull fiber the same day Intelletrace called them. Intelletrace also was able to find an Internet provider who could turn up quickly. In a matter of 5 business days, Intelletrace didn’t turn up a 50 meg circuit, but a 100 meg circuit for the same price, the customer was planning to pay with the Carrier. The customer could not believe a Carrier could act so quickly to his needs from signature of contract to installation and turn up of the new line. Intelletrace is now their #1 vendor for all of their Internet, data, and co location needs.
